Terms and Conditions of Sale / Hire Contract

GRANDE BALLOON GIFTS, DECOR & MORE LIMITED

Please read our terms and conditions carefully before placing your order as they apply to all sales and/or services provided by “GRANDE BALLOON GIFTS, DECOR & MORE LIMITED” also referred to as “GRANDE BALLOON”. Our terms and conditions set out your rights as a customer and your obligations to us. These terms and conditions also set out our responsibilities to you, the customer. Upon booking our services you agree to be fully bound by these terms and conditions.

Definitions

- “The company” is GRANDE BALLOON.

- “The customer” is the person or business hiring the services/equipment from the company.

- “The equipment” is all items supplied to or hired by the customer.

- “The hire period” starts once the items are collected by or delivered to the customer and ends when any equipment is returned to the company or collected by the company.

- “The hire agreement” is the contract entered into by the customer and the company.

Quotes

All quotes remain valid for FOURTEEN (14) DAYS only.

We maintain the right to adjust the prices in any quotation once the expiry period is exceeded.

All orders are subject to availability at the time of booking.

Booking our services

All bookings require a non-refundable “booking fee” of 50% the quoted invoice value to reserve our services for your preferred event date. This will then be deducted from the final balance.

The Hire Period

You the customer are responsible for all of the items during the hire period.

The hire period starts when the items are collected by the customer from our premises or delivered by Grande Balloon to the customer at the venue stated on the booking form.

The hire period ends when any returnable items are returned by the customer to our premises or collected by Grande Balloon from the venue stated on the booking form.

Final balance payment

The final balance payment is due no later than TWO DAYS prior to your vent date. We will not provide our services if we have not received payment in full.

Payment

ALL payments are by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

BACS

Our BACS payment details can be found on your quotation and/or final balance payment invoice. All BACS payments require a unique customer reference so that we can identify your payment. Please use CUSTOMER NAME on the invoice provided to reference your payment. Please inform us as soon as your payment is made.

Cash Payments

Cash payments can be made in person to our designated representative or to our bank account. Please do not pay cash directly into our bank account without first informing us.

PayPal

We can accept payment via PayPal. Please contact us if you wish to make payment in this way.

Cancellations

ALL cancellations must be made in writing. The cancellation period is determined by the date we receive your written confirmation. We DO NOT accept cancellation by phone or text.

ALL cancellations will result in the forfeit of the “booking fee”.

If the cancellation is made after the final balance payment has been received then we will refund 50% of the full payment to you. We reserve the right to invoice 50% of the total amount of your booking if cancellation is made within two weeks prior to the event date.

Hire items

All hire items remain the property of Grande Balloon at all times.

All hire items must be returned to our premises or must be available for collection after your event at the venue stated on the booking form.

A refundable deposit of £50 must be paid for each hired item. This is taken as insurance for the item and will be returned to the customer upon satisfactory inspection of the item upon its return to Grande balloon.

During the full hire period you are responsible for all hired items.

Any losses incurred by Grande Balloon during the hire period will be invoiced to the customer within two (2) weeks of the event date.

Any hire items damaged during the hire period remain the property of Grande Balloon.

We reserve the right to invoice the customer a “late return fee” for any hire items that are returned outside of the hire period.

Grande Balloon is not responsible for any injury or damage to persons or property caused by items hired, unless our goods are proven to be faulty.

Alterations or changes

Any alterations or changes to your booking must be made in writing. We DO NOT accept alterations or changes by phone or text. It is your responsibility to check your booking form and any invoices carefully to ensure that the information is accurate. Our services will be supplied based on the information contained within these documents. Any corrections must be notified in writing.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of you and your guests is extremely important to Grande Balloon. In the event that a location or weather conditions make it unsafe for us to erect hire items such as arches, frames etc. then we reserve the right to refuse to do so until conditions have improved. This also applies to the safety of our staff.

Unforeseeable Circumstances

Whilst every effort will be made by Grande Balloon to complete orders, the company cannot be held liable for variation or non-completion of orders due to the following:

Act of God | Fire | Flood | Storm | Gale | War | Pandemic | Terrorism | Strikes | Riots | Lockouts

Or any other civil disturbances.

We cannot be held liable for any road closures and gridlock caused by any of the above which results in our vehicles and staff being unable to gain access to the venue.

Personalised inflated Balloons/Balloon Bouquets/Delivered Balloons

All personalised balloons are inflated 1-12hrs before delivery to ensure no faults are on the balloons.

We take no responsibility for premature deflation of balloons once delivered.

If a balloon pops on the way to a delivery in our care, we will always try and replace this for you. If replacement is not possible while balloon is in our care, a full refund for the item will be given and a future discount code offered.

If, after delivery of the products, adverse weather affects the product, we are not responsible; please don’t leave the balloons in extremely hot or cold conditions, we recommend they are kept at room temperature.

Please, take the balloons out of the delivery bags as soon as you receive them.

All orders that are requested to be cancelled within 14 days, will be subject to non-refundable payment, instead you will receive a voucher which will be valid for 12 months.

Any order cancellation with less than 48 hrs will result in non-refund

Please allow 4 days’ notice for any other orders.

One you have received the balloons, no refunds will be issued after balloons are handed over, as all balloons are checked prior to delivery for faults and defects.

All Balloons should be checked by customer within the hour and report any damage; you should send a picture and thereafter you will be issued with credit notes valid for your next purchase.

Please protect balloons from the cold. It makes balloons shrink and wrinkle.

Please protect balloons from high heat / direct sunlight, balloons can expand too much and pop.

Please protect balloons from sharp objects; balloons are very delicate.

A rough patch on a wall or hedge you walk past could cause a small hole in a balloon.

Please be careful when placing balloon in your car or a small space.

Balloons have a short lifespan so please get them as close to your event as possible.

By placing an order, you are agreeing to all our terms and conditions.

When placing your order for balloons please ensure you are happy with the design and spelling. No refunds, replacements or amendments can be made after delivery.

The latex balloons with helium last between 12 to 24 hours, the microfoil balloons last from 7 to 15 days with helium gas, depending on the weather conditions or their use.

Microfoil balloons can be transmitters of electricity. Please avoid releasing them or bringing them closer to power lines.

When balloons are spiked, deflated or exploded they should be discarded.

Keep waste away from children and pets, as they can choke on it.

Cancelations:

We understand that life can be unpredictable and that sometimes plans may need to be changed or cancelled. We try to be as accommodating as possible when it comes to cancellations. If you need to cancel your order of balloons, please contact us as soon as possible. We require at least 48 hours notice for any cancellations. All cancellations must be made in writing (email or text message). If you cancel your order within 48 hours of the delivery date, a restocking fee of 25% of the balloon order will be charged. If you need to reschedule a balloon order, please contact us at least 48 hours prior to the delivery date. We will do our best to accommodate your request. If you fail to pick up your balloon order or do not provide us with the necessary information to complete the order, you may be charged a cancellation fee of up to 100% of the order. We appreciate your business and thank you for understanding our cancellation policy.

  • Customers may cancel their order up to a certain point before the scheduled delivery or pickup time, usually 24-48 hours in advance.

  • If the cancellation is made within the specified time frame, the customer may receive a full or partial refund, depending on the shop’s policies.

  • If the cancellation is made after the specified time frame, the customer may not be eligible for a refund or may only receive a partial refund.

Returns:

  • Balloons are generally not returnable once they have been inflated or used in any way, due to the perishable nature of the product.

  • If there is a defect or issue with the balloons, the customer may be able to return them for a refund or replacement, within 24 hours of receiving the balloons.

  • If the customer is unsatisfied with the balloons for any reason other than a defect, they may not be eligible for a refund or replacement.

  • Customers will be required to provide proof of the issue or defect with photos and also returning the balloons to us.

  • If the issue or defect is confirmed by the company, the customer may be eligible for a full or partial refund, or a replacement order.

  • If the customer is unsatisfied with the balloons for any reason other than a defect, they may not be eligible for a refund or replacement.

It is important for customers to contact us for their cancellation and return policies, as they may vary.

Acknowledgement of Terms & Conditions

I / We the undersigned confirm that we have read and accept GRANDE BALLOON GIFTS, DECOR & MORE LIMITED’s Terms & Conditions and agree that a copy of the Terms & Conditions has been provided to us.

I / We understand that these Terms & Conditions form part of our agreement with GRANDE BALLOON GIFTS, DECOR & MORE LIMITED and I / We agree to abide by them.
